OMNES x The Seam

We design garments to be timeless, to sit alongside the rest of your wardrobe and be worn again and again. Why? Because the first tenet of building a sustainable wardrobe is re-wearing.

Our most loved clothes sometimes need a little extra care which is why we’ve partnered with The Seam to ensure your favourite fits can stand the test of time. Tailor your purchases for the perfect fit, mend well-worn knitwear, denim, and so much more.

Follow these simple steps to get started on your Care & Repair journey.

Select your Service

Fill out a few simple questions about the item you would like altered, repaired or restored.

Meet your Expert

The Seam will match you to a specialist Maker based on your location and the details of your booking.

Book your Project

Within 48 hours your Maker will provide a quote for your project, arrange a fitting or postage with you.

The Seam connects you with local, vetted Makers who can repair and alter your items. You can choose an in-person fitting, or send your item directly to your specialist Maker.

How does The Seam work?

Click on 'Make a Booking' to begin. You'll be asked some questions about your item(s) and The Seam will match you to the ideal Maker for your garment. You'll be prompted to create an account or sign in if you have one already.
You'll hear from your Maker within 48 hours. You can discuss the project, and choose to send your item(s) by post, visit a local studio or have your Maker visit your home for a fitting.
You can keep track of your bookings at all times by logging into The Seam and clicking on 'My Projects'.

How can I book an in-person fitting?

If your booking requires a fitting, once you have been matched with your Maker they will arrange the best time and place to meet with you. You can arrange a fitting at home, at your workplace or even at the Makers’ studio. When you opt for a home fitting, Makers charge £15/hour to cover the travel time. Your Maker will of course provide a quote for this prior to the fitting.
Please note, services which require fittings (alterations) are currently only available in London, and other select cities where a nearby Maker is available. All other services are available UK-wide, via post.

How does pick up and delivery work?

There are three options for pick-up and collection. You can meet your Maker in person, send your items by Royal Mail or book a convenient courier collection when you pay for your order.

How does The Seam's service fee work?

The price set by the Makers for each project is the amount of money they earn for each project. On top of the Maker's price, The Seam apply a 20% service fee to protect each booking and offer customer support.

Where can I find the pricing for my project?

Every project is uniquely priced; however, you can see a link to the Guide prices here.

Can I make any changes to my order after it’s been placed?

You can contact your Maker at any point throughout the booking process to discuss and request changes. If you are booking for multiple items, we recommend making an additional booking for each item.
Where possible, The Seam aim to match you with a single Maker. However, in order to always ensure your items are worked on with specialist skills, they often need to match you with different Makers for different services.

When do I get my project back?

The Seam’s standard service turnaround time is 10 days for garments. They will always let you know if a project is going to take longer than this to complete. If you need an item completed by a certain date please make this known at the beginning of your booking.
